My name is Darrell C. Scott. Welcome to my blog! I am a Gay Romantic Suspense author and more importantly, a loyal Lamb for over 10 years to the Songbird Supreme, #MariahCarey!
Following the publication of my debut novel, #ManstressDiaries, I've decided to start a blog dedicated to Mariah's music. She is by far the most influential artist in my writing. Her songs are the soundtrack of my life and are referenced often in my books. I wanted to provide a safe place for me to geek out over Mariah with fellow lambs.
As such, this blog will mainly focus on Mariah's Songwriter's Hall of Fame-wining catalog. I will discuss whatever song, album, or Mariah-related moment that is vividly emblazoned in my mind at the time. The English major in me has the itch to dive deep into her lyrics, in the way that I was forced to do in undergrad, and discuss their significance in her life and how they have related to mine personally and in my writing as well. I encourage song recommendations from fellow lambs and welcome discussions in the comments!

As we all know by now, the QUEEN is finally about to drop her highly anticipated and long overdue memoir, The Meaning of Mariah Carey which hits the shelves on September, 29 and a NEW album of previously unreleased tracks titled: #TheRarities on October, 2. Trust and believe you can expect my in-depth review of The Meaning of Mariah Carey once its published and I've read it from cover to cover!

My Book: Manstress Diaries
It was a mess and a miserable time, but I did it! Manstress Diaries is out in the world for everyone and my fellow lambs to read. There are plenty of Mariah moments I know you guys will appreciate, including chapters: "Stay the Night" and "Don't Forget About Us." In short, the story follows a young and unstable therapist named Khai Allen, who has a bit of an anxiety problem and some serious daddy issues. He falls for a married man named Terrence, who is battling a Xanax addiction. Things go to shit when Khai realizes Terrence will never leave his husband and Khai and resorts to some drastic measures to keep their toxic affair alive. Sex, dangerous lies, heartbreak, and untimely deaths... I think you're going to love it. It may or may not be closely related to my own experiences, but I'll leave that for your wild imaginations.
